On the excursion to the Hoffnarr sanctuary, we ask ourselves how we want to treat other animals. In times of industrialised factory farming, this question is more pressing than ever: 735 million animals (pigs, cattle, hens, etc.) are killed every year in Germany alone and processed into 6.7 million tonnes of meat. Is this justified?
The Hofnarr farm represents a counter-model to traditional animal farming: Animals that have been rescued from slaughter can lead a dignified life here without being slaughtered. We will find out what this means for the animals and people during the guided tour of the farm.
This is a joint project with the Green Office of the University of Konstanz!
