Equity & Diversity

The planned CRC holds equal opportunity for all, accessibility, and diversity among its highest standards throughout all projects, research endeavours, publications, transfer activities, and public events. It aims to implement and facilitate measures towards structural, personnel-related, research-oriented equity and diversity standards, and thus to increase gender equity, diversity, and inclusion in a meaningful and sustainable way. Many of the schemes already in place at Universität Konstanz will be rolled out in the planned CRC and complemented by CRC-specific means and measures.

The university’s established Equal Opportunities Office and its Gender Consulting Service, which is billed as needed, have three overarching goals:

  • Establish an inclusive university culture
  • Increase the proportion of female academics
  • Promotion of gender-appropriate, diverse, and family-supportive conditions

CRC-specific measures

The planned CRC will collaborate with the university’s institutional and structural programmes to support equity and diversity. Beyond these comprehensive university-wide offerings, the planned CRC proposes the following measures:
