About the postdoc week
We cordially invite you to the first Postdoc Week at the University of Konstanz from Monday, 18 November to Friday, 22 November, organised by the Academic Staff Development!
This event is aimed at postdocs at the University of Konstanz of all career stages and disciplines. Information on academic careers and alternative career paths will be provided, as well as networking and orientation at the University of Konstanz will be promoted.
The highlight will be a festive opening event on Monday, 18 November from 17:00 to 19:00 with an expert panel discussion on artificial intelligence in science and a reception with information booths by the Support Services. The Zukunftskolleg will also be there with an information booth - and hopefully with your presence and support.
During the Postdoc Week, a variety of workshops, lectures and social events will be offered to support your research and teaching activities, understand the German academic system and prepare for the next steps in your career. The university´s Support Services will present valuable information on grant writing, technology transfer, academic contracts, international mobility, science communication, research data management and much more. Additional events will take place at the Zukunftskolleg and in some departments. On Tuesday, 19 November, the Zukunftskolleg will offer an Open Jour fixe / Zukunftskolleg Open door from 13:15 until 14:45 in Y326. There you have the possibility to meet other postdocs from the university, exchange with them about your experiences and present your research project.
